Steamed Soft Banana Bread

In making this bread, I learned a lot about steaming. Well, not a lot, just that the lid has to be completely sealed otherwise the bread doesn't turn out soft and fluffy and it takes FOREVER to steam. I don't have a real steamer so I had to improvise a bit. This is my second attempt after failing the first time around, didn't taste bad the first time just not soft and fluffy, more moist and dense. When this bread is made right, boy is it good, I couldn't stop eating it. Below is my adapted recipe, all credit goes to Aunty Yochana. Take a look at her beautiful steamed banana bread.

200g mashed bananas (1 1/2 large banana)
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract (I used 1/4 teaspoon)
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt

3 small eggs (I used 2 extra large eggs)
100g brown sugar
100g cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
65g corn oil

Top Layer:
2 eggs (I used 1 extra large egg)
60g sugar
25g water
65g cake flour

1. Mix ingredient (A) together and set aside.
2. Whisk eggs and sugar together till flurry, add in flour and baking powder and mix till well combined. Add in mashed bananas mixture and corn oil and stir till well combined.
3. Pour into a greased and lined loaf pan (I used a 8.5"x5" pan) and steam for 15-20 minutes till cooked. Toothpick should come out clean when inserted in the center of banana bread.
4. For top layer, whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy, add in water and flour and mix till well combined. Pour on top of steamed banana cake and steam again for another 15 minutes. or till cooked.
5. Serve.

The Steamed Banana Bread recipe looks mouthwateringly amazing! I am struggling with the grams and with my attempt at conversion to cups, tablespoons and teaspoons things look a little off. Can you help?
Thank you.
